My Busy Life

I was playing in the car with mommy and Ate Mai last Monday when they suddenly started fussing over something hidden at the back of the car's tire. Mommy was asking Ate Mai if she could reach it so she can give it to me. After much effort, Ate Mai finally pulled her hand out to reveal a white kitten. I was surprised and delighted at the same time. I reached out for him and petted him. Diego and Scully were immediately on the scene having smelled the scent of the cat so mommy told Ate Mai to put him out in the street. Good thing I was allowed to play with him outside. I wish we could keep him but I know our dogs would kill him before he can even say meow! Oh well, at least I get to play with him even for a short time.

Mommy had to go on night shift again the other day. I don't know why but I kind of dreaded it (even if I don't know what it meant) when she announced it. So there was I playing with my cousins after dinner. I was wondering why Ate Michelle gave me my night time bath but just shrugged it off. This has been happening lately when mom would take longer on the laptop and I'd just woke up beside her. But the other night was different. I woke up expecting to get my regular middle-of-the-night-snack when I instead saw grandma sleeping soundly beside me. I cried and asked for mommy. They sshhhed me and gave me milk in the sippy cup(?!) instead. This went on a thousand times that night. So when mommy said last night that she's leaving for work, I kept on telling her "Wag na!" and tugging her towards the bed. Good thing she's only joking. I hate night shifts! And I hope we won't be having that for a very looooong time.

Lola tried to do a barber's cut on my hair but it ended up shaggy so mommy had to bring me in for a haircut. She was so proud of me as I sat still while the razor went through my head. (Not anywhere near how I reacted the first time I had my haircut where I cried and struggled so mommy had to carry me instead.) I guess I'm really a big boy now.

It was time for my night time bath and as usual I was negotiating with mommy that I brush my teeth alone. As she had no choice, she let me do it and lo and behold, I surprised her by brushing my front teeth with some dexterity. I know she felt so proud with the way she reacted. I hope we won't have any more fights after this.
