Sleeping, Loving

I am so tired from the Fairview and hospital trip we did today. I did doze off during the ride home but I still had to take a nap when we finally arrived. And in the middle of sleep and wakefulness, I hugged mommy and kissed her unconsciously. I saw her sneak a smile when I did that.

V-day with Mommy

I spent the whole day with mommy today. I woke her up with the greeting card I made at school. Then, we went to Pasig in the morning. She got me the latest Power Rangers DVD, Operation Overdrive, which I watched after we saw the potential lot that mommy's eyeing to buy. I just love spending time with her. And I can say that I still love her most in this world.

Happy Hearts Day! =)

Birthday Girl

It’s mommy’s birthday today and what best to do than to spend the whole day with me. She took a leave from office and drop off/fetch me from school. After that, we had lunch at Jollibee and she made sure I go to sleep so I would have enough energy for our afternoon plans.

When I woke up, we prepared for our trip to the zoo. I saw a lot of animals there like the parrot, lion, panther, cougar, monkey, owl, eagle, donkey, reindeer, snake and fish. I even saw a huge dog there which looked like Patrash (as Tita Jhoy said).

We had dinner at Mom and Tina’s after and I enjoyed the chocolate mousse cake that mommy ordered for me. I’m so glad mommy spent her special day with me.

A Date With Mommy

Mommy said “We haven’t heard mass yet today.” last Sunday. I replied that I don’t want to go to mass so she enticingly said that we could go to Megamall to hear mass there. I immediately agreed and asked if she could buy me a toy, which she willingly said yes to.

Our first stop was Toy Kingdom. She brought me to the robots section. I kept on asking for dinosaur toys lately so she bought me a Zoids wolf model this time. Then we proceed to the 5th floor to hear mass. There was this small girl who kept on staring at my Zoids and trying to touch it as I display it. Next stop was Cyberzone where Mommy bought a cellphone crystal case. I told her I was hungry already so we went to KFC next. She allowed me to play for more than an hour there. I also had the urge to poop (which I can proudly say that I was able to hold for a couple of minutes as Mommy asked for extra tissues). Sorry if it’s TMI. :p

Then as we walked towards our car to go home, mommy asked if I was happy and I said yes because I was with her. I hope we have our second date soon.

Graveyard Shift

Mommy’s back on night shift. And I didn’t have any reservations letting her know that I hate it. I’d cry everytime she leaves at night for the office and I tell her that I miss her terribly. She found a new technique though… She’d let me sleep first then leave after. I guess that’s better than nothing. But I do hope she goes back to regular shift soon.

Stars for Mommy

Asked for mommy's permission tonight that I'd be going to our neighbor's rooftop. She allowed me since it's in the same compound and I'm with yaya anyway. Promised her that I'd get her a star for her pasalubong. Too bad she left for the office already when we returned. I'll just give her her star tomorrow morning.

Dramatic Tactics

I was depressed upon seeing mommy preparing for work tonight. I tried to stop her with everything I can...

Me: Mommy, tan ka pupunta?

Then, she said she's just gonna pee so I allowed her to go to the bathroom. After a couple of minutes, she went out of it hair wet and fully dressed ready to go to work.

Me: Bat ka naligo?! Tabi mo wiwi ka lang.
Mom: Pasalubungan naman kita ng Choc Nut. Wag ka ng umiyak.
Me: Wag ka nang pumatok ta ofit. Wag mo kong iwan.

But she can't be stopped so she just carried me outside and I kissed her goodbye through tears. Ugh, I hate it when she works on night shifts.

Marrying Mommy

Last night while I was waiting for sleep to come to me, I told mommy that I want to be her husband. She laughed and said that I couldn't be so I told her that I love her. She explained that the love that spouses have for each other is different from the love between parent and child. Still I insisted that I'd marry her when I grow up.

Peace Amidst the Storm

I remember being shown once at school, a picture of a bird on a nest protecting her chicks from the storm by shielding them with her wings as the storm rages around them. - Mommy Daiz

Mom and I were napping Saturday afternoon when a storm started. There were lightnings and thunderclaps and I felt afraid. Mommy hugged me tight and told me it's gonna be alright. The storm soon passed and now I know I've nothing to worry about as long as she's around.

Mommy Love

It was bedtime and I was playing and cuddling with mom when I told her...

Me: Ma...
Mommy: Ano yun?
Me: I lab you.

I saw mom's eye sparkle and she hugged and kissed me and said I love you in return. Just wanted to let her know that I still do love her even if I'm so makulet and disobedient sometimes. =)

What I'd Give

Mom and I were snuggling, just idling the weekend away when a thought pops into my head. So I proceeded to tell her:

Pag nagkapera ako, bibili kita ng laruan.
Pauses to think
Saka ng baril, ng pagkain.
Um, ano pa ba?
Pauses to think of some more, then I saw the curtain on our heads being blown by the wind.
Saka ng kurtina.

I'm sure she realizes that I'd give her things that I love because... and I said this to her: "I lab you so mut!"

Wake Up Call

Sleepyhead mommy is still snoozing at 7 in the morning so I decided to sing my lungs out to wake her up. "Wild Port Power Rangert, work together!" She opened her eyes and next thing I know, I'm hearing myself sing the Power Rangers jingle. She recorded it in her phone so I asked her to lend it to me. I tweaked it a bit and I was soon singing with myself the Jollibee Yum Do-wop jingle. It's always fun hearing my voice and waking up with mommy.

Mornings with Mom

I woke up ahead of mom today and decided to give her a few more minutes before I nudge her into awareness. After waiting for a minute or two, I smothered her faces with kisses to wake her up. She did kiss me back but didn't open her eyes. "Giting ka na!" I said but to no effect. I tugged at her lower lip and saw what looked like blood. "Mommy, may dugo o!" But she still ignored me. "Giting ka na, baba na tayo!" She finally opened her eyes and said "Hila mo ko para baba na tayo." while stretching her arms toward me. As I felt lazy this morning, I said "Ikaw na lang!". To which she replied "Di ko nga kaya." So I demonstrated to her how to do it by arching my back. "Ay di tayo bababa pag di mo ko hinila." So I finally decided to pull her arms and up she went. She then fixed the bed and we went down to have breakfast. I love waking up in the mornings with mom.

Mommy's Birthday

It was mommy's birthday last Saturday so I made sure my smiling face was the first thing she saw that morning. It was effective coz when she opened her eyes, she smiled at me and kissed me. Then, she went on to pack our things because we're to go swimming at Rainforest. It was a blast since I get to swim on the kiddie pool and try the slides. I was glad mom let me explore the pool with her just two steps behind. We also went to the adult pool where mom was sure to hold me. I wanted to tell her I could go it alone but she still held me close. After swimming, we proceeded to the zoo. I was especially amused by the monkey who devoured the banana given to him. He was even licking his hands when the fruit was all gone. I was so tired after the outing though that I went straight to bed. Again, happy birthday mommy! I had a great day, hope you enjoyed too. Lab u!

Labu

I don't know why mommy would say it to me so many times a day. She'd say it when I wake up beside her every morning, when she's giving me a bath, when we're reading and playing and before we go to bed. It's also always coupled with a kiss (on the head, cheek, lips, hands, tummy, I could go on forever). Then last week she explained to me that I should respond to it so when she said "Love you, bebi!" I said "Labu" back. She was so delighted and told everyone she knew about it. ;P

Night Shift

Mommy had to go on night shift again the other day. I don't know why but I kind of dreaded it (even if I don't know what it meant) when she announced it. So there was I playing with my cousins after dinner. I was wondering why Ate Michelle gave me my night time bath but just shrugged it off. This has been happening lately when mom would take longer on the laptop and I'd just woke up beside her. But the other night was different. I woke up expecting to get my regular middle-of-the-night-snack when I instead saw grandma sleeping soundly beside me. I cried and asked for mommy. They sshhhed me and gave me milk in the sippy cup(?!) instead. This went on a thousand times that night. So when mommy said last night that she's leaving for work, I kept on telling her "Wag na!" and tugging her towards the bed. Good thing she's only joking. I hate night shifts! And I hope we won't be having that for a very looooong time.
