My secretary's been busy at work again, hence the late post. Luckily, the secretary (aka as mom) was able to book us for the Zoobic Safari overnight package for 990 bucks per pax and I get the accomodation for free (but had to pay 295 for the park entrance).
We finally arrived at Zoobic (after some wrong turns) at around 9 in the morning. The guide instructed us first about what we'll see in the park. The tour finally began after a couple of minutes. First part was done on foot. We saw lots of animals and I get to pat a group of kids ("dot" as Isaac calls them), ride on an albino carabao, touch the cold skin of a boa constrictor and stroke a camel's hair. I wouldn't forget the camels as one of them nudged mommy's head as she was having her picture taken with them.
Next stop was the close encounter with the Siberian tigers. We bought a dressed chicken to feed the tigers. They were not as excited as I thought they'd be but I was able to watch them eat the chicken up close (probably a foot away). One also jumped on top of the jeep we were riding since the guide placed some chicken there. I wasn't scared of them, I think they're actually cute and cuddly.
Last part of the tour was the Savannah where there were ostriches, pot-bellied pigs and other animals roaming the ground freely. We also went to Croc Island where there were lots of crocodiles crawling on the ground only separated from our feet by the screened steps we were walking on.
We checked in our room at the Tiara, Crown Peak hotel. I was too excited to take my afternoon nap so mommy, lola and I went for a swim on the hotel's pool. We went back to our room by 5 pm and had dinner shortly. Then lola suggested we go out to see the other sites in Subic. We ended up on the Go-Kart track and my TH lola tried it. She was the slowest among the drivers but it's still fun for her. It was lights out for us after.
We spent the next morning eating halo-halo at the next door food stop and swimming again. We checked out at 12 pm and headed straight home since our car's included in the color coding on Mondays. All in all, I enjoyed the trip so much and I'm looking forward for my next birthday gimik. Labels: birthdays, gimik |
