My Busy Life

It was raining cats and dogs yesterday while mommy was sleeping soundly on the roof deck. I was starting to worry already when she came down sort of panicking, telling lolo and lola that water's already coming in our room. So lolo and yaya went to fix that and mommy stayed with us downstairs, sitting on a banig on our living room's carpet. After a couple of minutes, I felt pee on my shorts so I asked mommy to change me. A couple more minutes after that, I felt my pyjamas wet again so I started removing them. Then, Ate Mai said that water's coming in (and I thought I peed again on my pjs!). They rushed us upstairs and I was bored to death there watching them haul things to save them from getting wet. Luckily I was entertained viewing the flood around our neighborhood through the window. I also noticed that two pieces of the roof in our dirty kitchen were ripped off. Mommy then decided to bring me to the rooftop. Even if there were a few water on the floor, it's not as chaotic as the house downstairs. So I found myself breastfeeding again to sleep. When I woke up it was dusk already and I was crying and asking mom to go downstairs. She said we can't because it's dark already and since there's no electricity, we may fall on our way down there. Good thing, lola and my cousins went upstairs and we had dinner. I was particularly amused at the shadows we cast by the candle lights. I was also glad that mommy decided not to go to work that night. Then it's off to bed for me again. I hope the weather would be better today and we'd have our electricity back soon.

I've been hearing the phrase "Malaki ka na, wag ka na dede" more than a few times lately. And I do understand that I should start weaning but I feel that it's not one task that I can do overnight. So I try as best I could to refrain from nursing from time to time. I try to nurse only for a couple of minutes. And sometimes I content myself on just touching mommy's breast. I hope she notices and appreciates the effort I put into this.

Mommy wasn't home yet when it was already Capt. Barbell showing on TV last Friday. But all my anger went out the window when I saw what she got me. It was Kermit! The same Kermit that I saw in the pedia's clinic. I was so glad that I immediately grabbed the plush toy and never let it go (even when mom asked to borrow it and when I went to bed). I also brought it to the pedia yesterday so I can show her that I got one too. Mommy was asking me last night "Be, sinong mas love mo? Si mommy or si Kermit?". To which I replied "Si Kermit!" =P

It was mommy's birthday last Saturday so I made sure my smiling face was the first thing she saw that morning. It was effective coz when she opened her eyes, she smiled at me and kissed me. Then, she went on to pack our things because we're to go swimming at Rainforest. It was a blast since I get to swim on the kiddie pool and try the slides. I was glad mom let me explore the pool with her just two steps behind. We also went to the adult pool where mom was sure to hold me. I wanted to tell her I could go it alone but she still held me close. After swimming, we proceeded to the zoo. I was especially amused by the monkey who devoured the banana given to him. He was even licking his hands when the fruit was all gone. I was so tired after the outing though that I went straight to bed. Again, happy birthday mommy! I had a great day, hope you enjoyed too. Mommy's been so proud of me lately. Aside from being able to tell her how much I love her, I've also been pooping on the toilet for the past month. I would tell her/yaya/lola that I have to go and they'd bring me to the bathroom. My only problem is when peeing though. I just get so busy most of the time so the next thing I know, my shorts are wet. And just the other night, mommy saw me coloring and she was so proud of how expertly I was holding my crayons. I have something to tell you, though... I still haven't stopped breastfeeding and have no plans of doing so. Don't tell mommy! :P
